Benito Bowl: Celebrating Cultures

The Super Bowl LX Halftime Show took place on February 8, 2026, in Santa Clara, California, and featured Bad Bunny as the headlining performer.

Fans of the singer, along with the Latino community, awaited the performance with great anticipation and emotion.

Reactions were divided: while many praised the show, others criticized it, with some claiming it was inappropriate because Bad Bunny does not perform in English.

The performance included snippets of Puerto Rican culture and even some that all Latino Americans can relate to.

Including the dancing, children sleeping in two chairs, the light poles when there are ‘apagones’(blackout), and the famous ‘piraguas’(shaved snow).

There was also a wedding ceremony, which made people wonder if it was real, and it was. Bad Bunny invited the couple to get married at halftime.

It featured some performances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, which surprised most people since no one expected to see Lady Gaga singing and dancing to Latin music.

Despite the mixed responses, the message most viewers took away from the performance was clear: “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”

It was a throwback to what the singer had said when he won Album of the Year at the Grammys, the previous weekend.

With everything going around, it was his way of defending the immigrants and saying that what has been happening is inhumane.

The ending of the performance has left most people emotional since Benito said every single country in the American continent, since a lot of people believe America is just the United States.
