Shift in leadership
Loretto Academy will undergo a major leadership transition next school year as President Mrs. Cobb steps down, marking the end of a period of growth and visible change on campus.
During her time as President, Mrs. Cobb led improvements across facilities, academics, and extracurricular programs, helping shape the current environment students experience daily both inside and outside the classroom.
New roles announced
Following her resignation, the Board of Trustees named Mrs. Tovar as Interim President for the 2026–2027 school year, continuing her leadership in a new and expanded role.
Mrs. Tovar, who has served as Principal since 2023, is widely recognized by students for her presence on campus and her focus on balancing discipline, academics, and school involvement.
As Mrs. Tovar steps into this position, Mrs. Martinez will take over as Interim Principal, creating a shift in leadership that will directly impact students’ day-to-day school experience.
What it means moving forward
Although the transition may feel sudden for many students, school officials have emphasized that these changes are meant to maintain stability while continuing progress in academics and community life.
The Board of Trustees will begin the search for a permanent President during the upcoming school year, making this a temporary but important moment in shaping the school’s future.
The current class of 2026 won’t be able to experience this changes, but wishes Mrs. Cobb farewell from the school, and Mrs. Tovar along with Mrs. Martinez good luck in their new roles.
