Through their strength, passion, and dedication on the court for years, these two senior athletes earned their moment and are congratulated for this amazing achievement!
Addison’s next step
Addison Rosales signed and committed to play Division I volleyball at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
She was joined by her parents, extended family and friends, and coaches as she celebrated her commitment to the volleyball program.
On the court, Addison plays the position of a setter, touching the ball for every single play and setting the hitters up to perfection every time.
In her senior year at Loretto, Addison led the team to many key victories, not only with her setting skills, but also with the leadership she reflected on the court.
Addison was always a team player, and fought for every game despite the challenges the team faced throughout the season.
Reflecting on her advancement to the next level of play, Addison said, “It was really exciting to celebrate this momentous occasion with my family, coaches, teammates, and friends.
It felt amazing and I can’t wait to take the next step in my journey and I will remember all that Loretto did for me!”
Addison’s parents and coaches gave speeches that highlighted her dedication and love for the sport throughout her life, and wished her the very best for the next chapter in her life.
Addison also gave a speech thanking her support system for pushing her to never give up and supporting her through every tournament and game.
Addison also said, “I felt really blessed to be given this opportunity to play at the collegiate level.”
Monse’s next step
Monse Mirazo signed and committed to play Division III volleyball at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Monse was celebrated by her parents, coaches, and family in attendance as they tearfully watched Monse put pen on the paper.
Monse’s position as a setter and defensive specialist helped the varsity team in both wins and losses alike.
Beyond her skill, Monse’s positive attitude, dedication, and leadership supported and uplifted the team throughout the ups and down of the season.
Monse’s love for the sport is evident in every moment of the game.
Looking forward to continuing her journey, Monse said, “Seeing everyone there meant the world to me because I knew that the Loretto community, my coaches, my family, and my friends were there before and would stay with me as I go along this new chapter in my heart.”
Monse’s parents and coaches highlighted Monse’s determination for the sport that got her to that very moment.
Reflecting on the signing, Monse said, “I think the most exciting part was seeing the people who came to watch or participate in the signing ceremony, especially those who helped me reach that moment.”
Looking ahead
This special day stood as a celebration and testament to the early morning practices, late night games, and long drives to tournaments that led them to this moment.
In addition, these two athletes were able to share their day with each other to celebrate moving into their own journeys.
Reflecting on this, Addison said, “Getting to share this experience with one of my best friends made the day even more special.”
As Monse and Addison step into the next chapter of their lives, they carry with them not only their volleyball talents, but all that they have learned from their experiences at Loretto Academy.
The Loretto community stands behind these two amazing angels who will take flight and continue to leave their impact on the court.
