On April 25, Loretto Academy hosted its annual music festival, bringing together talented student musicians for a full day of performances, competition, and expression.
The festival lasted from eight in the morning until three in the afternoon, with performances and
evaluations taking place throughout different areas across the Loretto campus.
Experienced judges with extensive musical knowledge attended the event to evaluate performances and provide feedback designed to help students continue improving their musical
abilities.
The judges listened carefully to a variety of categories including guitar performances, piano
pieces, choir groups, ensembles, and individual soloists from different grade levels.
Middle school and high school students both participated in the festival, giving younger performers the chance to learn while older students demonstrated advanced musical
techniques.

Show choir and band students also participated, performing songs and routines they had practiced consistently throughout the school year in preparation for the festival.
Many students spent months rehearsing for the event, making the performances an opportunity to showcase their dedication, discipline, and growth as musicians and
performers.
Teachers and directors supported students throughout the festival, helping organize performances and encouraging participants to stay confident while performing in front of judges and audiences.
The music festival also allowed students from different musical programs to connect with one another and appreciate the wide variety of talent present across the school community.
The Loretto music festival was a successful event that celebrated creativity, hard work, and the importance of music education for students at every experience level.
