As the upcoming seniors start to prepare for college decisions, on March 23 Loretto Academy had the opportunity to host eight prestigious colleges in Room 201 so students could find out more information about them.
Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors were invited to attend so that they are able to prepare for college in advance.
The colleges that were there were University of Michigan, University of Iowa, University of Maryland, University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, Penn State University, University of Oregon, Ohio State University and Arizona State University.
The representatives from these universities provided information about housing, student life, athletics, and admissions.
The room was bustling with students who are able to get a feel of what their life after high school will look like and receive brochures with posters, maps and important statistics about the school.
This event gave the students a chance to explore future paths and learnĀ about admission requirements, financial aid, and academic programs.
Students found this event insightful, diverse, and enlightening.
The college visits are vital for students who are looking for schools outside of El Paso, which can seem very daunting at first without the correct guidance.
As the fair came to a close, students left with stacks of brochures, new ideas and a clear vision of their future paths, and for many, the event marked an important step towards life after graduation.
