2025 year in review

The year 2025 was full of surprises—some good and some bad—but here are a handful of the most memorable events.

Starting strong in January, we have a throwback to when no one in the United States had access to TikTok for twelve hours.

In February, Kendrick Lamar threw shade from the Super Bowl stage while bringing out memorable guests, including SZA and Samuel L. Jackson.

Fast forward to April, the beloved Pope Francis passed, and the world was shocked when the first American-born Pope was selected in May.

In June, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) surprised the world as they made their way to LA, unwelcome by many and changing the story of history.

El Paso’s Sun Bowl history was changed as Coldplay was welcomed on stage in July and continued their tour to expose cheating CEOs.

As leaves begin to fall, public figures like Charlie Kirk and D4VID’s rumored girlfriend also find themselves at the center of widespread public attention.

In addition, history was changed when Bad Bunny was announced as the headline act for the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show in 2026, sparking numerous debates.

October steals the show, along with the historic jewels from the Louvre museum, and it was also the beginning of the government shutdown that lasted 43 days.

In November, Madam Morrible made her last Wicked goodbye, and once you flip it upside down,  Stranger Things welcomed its final season in December.

The year ended on a note of uncertainty and changes, especially on December 14, when the Bondi Beach tragedy happened in Australia

Just four days later, this wasn’t the only life-changing event that happened as the Patriot Games were announced, so that teenagers might live their favorite dystopian movies in real time.

This year delivered unforgettable highs and shocking lows that will be written into history, remembered as a time of transformation, controversy, and cultural change.
