This new tradition creates a meaningful connection between the freshman and senior class at the school by bringing them together before the older students graduate.

Senior class vice president Gianna Guerra said, “Rather than ending the year separately, the tradition gives both classes the opportunity to exchange encouragement, gratitude, and reminders of the sisterhood that exists throughout every grade level.”

Freshmen are able to feel welcomed and supported as they prepare to enter sophomore year, while seniors are given the chance to leave behind something lasting before beginning the next chapter of their lives.

The exchange also benefits future generations of students because it can continue every year.

Each senior class can pass down advice, memories, and encouragement to the younger girls, while the freshmen can learn the importance of continuing the school’s values of unity, kindness, and leadership.

Over time, this tradition would connect every graduating class to the one coming after it, creating a stronger sense of community across all generations of students.

Because the tradition takes place during the Easter season, it also carries an even deeper meaning.

Easter is not only about celebrating one day, but about continuing to live with hope, renewal, and faith.

By beginning this tradition during Easter, students are reminded that the spirit of sisterhood does not end when the school year ends, instead, it continues through every generation of students, helping each class feel connected, appreciated, and supported.
