Every holy week, many girls from Loretto Academy attend missions through different associations and different locations around Mexico and Texas.
Some girls attend La Salle school in Chihuahua, others attend Juventud in Chihuahua or in Texas.
Missions are a time where us students can carry our own cross and follow Jesus.
They become the most impactful week of the year for many, and a year where we reflect on the things that we have in our life and give thanks.

Going to missions, we go thinking we’re going to serve others but in reality we leave learning more from the people in those rural towns.
Seeing children run to us with excitement and older ladies being excited to invite us for a warm meal is what makes the hard work worth it.
It teaches us to be happy with what we have and evangelize to those who don’t know how to search for God’s love.
Loretto cultivates our missionary work and allows us to take our core values to other people in needed communities.
