Unforgettable bonds formed in senior retreat

The senior retreat is truly one of the most meaningful traditions at Loretto Academy, something that every graduating class carries in their hearts long after it ends.

It gives seniors a rare chance to pause from the stress of senior year, reflect on their journey, and appreciate how much they’ve  grown together.

During those days, walls come down, friendships deepen, new connections form, and even the relationships with teachers become more personal and supportive.

It happens in a special place in Mesilla, and this year it happened for three days in January.

It’s not just a trip; it’s a time for spiritual, emotional, and mental reset, reminding them what really matters before we step into the next chapter of our lives.

What makes it especially powerful is the sense of unity it creates.

The whole class bonds in a way that everyday school life doesn’t always allow, building memories that stay with us far beyond graduation.

It becomes a shared experience that connects generations of Loretto students, something they cherish and hope future seniors will experience just as deeply as they did.

The retreat leaves them grounded, grateful, and proud to be part of a tradition that continues shaping the heart of the Loretto community.
