Every December, the once-ordinary hallways of Loretto Academy transform into a festive tradition.

Shimmer, paper, snowflakes, and familiar Christmas characters appear on classroom doors as students take part in creating it.

Deck the Doors is a school wide competition and activity in which each class decorates its classroom door according to a chosen Christmas theme.

Each door becomes a canvas for students to express both their artistic side and their holiday spirit.

Student body vice president Precious Pierre said, “It was very nice to see everyone participating and building adrenaline in the hallways, bringing out classes together and helping us get into the holiday spirit.”

For seniors especially, Deck the Doors is a meaningful reminder that this will be one of their final holidays on campus.

For freshmen, it marks an early introduction to a cherished tradition; it remains an event students eagerly anticipate and look forward to.

The winner doors are chosen in our Christmas assembly, the day before Christmas break.

Deck the Doors is not just about decoration, it is about school spirit, connection, and celebrating the joy of Christmas together.

This tradition helps students all over the high school loosen up a bit before finals week approaches.

It is a reminder that every student brings something special to each classroom.
