The wondrous ceremony that represents the hard work and determination of those who acted or worked on the big screen was very profound in upholding their purpose throughout this year’s 78th Golden Globes Awards.

The Globes are being summarized during the event as well as including the people who attended.

This event first started in early 1944 with the intent to promote acknowledgement to those who acted or produced motion pictures during the beginning of movies.

Movies started to become a huge part of the world, that the company that started this 78th-year tradition became to be known as the first ones to promote a different type of ceremony from others that honor actors and actresses and other people in the film industry.

The Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association, a non-profit organization, helped form the chain of events that led up to the popularity of this eventful turnabout in the movie era.

Then, in the 1960s’ the Association formatted an event with a gala and dinner which took place in the Ambassador Hotel, located in Los Angeles, California.

Now, with times changing and people realizing that not all were given an equal shot at winning the Golden Globes, such moment which was proven in the 2021 Golden Globes when three female directors were given the award.

Emerald Fennell, British nominee, was not nominated for her acting but as her part of being the director of ‘Promising Young Woman,’ her first feature film; she was even nominated for her screenplay on a dark comic thriller, as well as her being the chief writer on the second season of ‘Killing Eve.

The other two women were Chinese director, Chloe Zhao, who became the first woman of Asian descent to be up for the Golden Globes’ best director prize, for Nomadland and the other female director to be nominated was Ava DuVernay for her film, ‘Selena’ in 2014.

This was a turning point in the history of the Golden Globes which seems just the beginning of a chain of events that were forming.

These award nominations and winners were very profound choices because it displays the amount of talent that is being made every single day, which proves to be very impactful on those people’s lives as well as the fans who watch them act in the movies.

The 2021 Golden Globes is an event that is changing history during a historical event as well as seeing the ways the world is changing, with the founders of this traditional event changing things it might be the start of a new era for the Golden Globes.
