This year has been full of difficulties and thrills, but as the festivities approach upon us it shows a way to embrace a chance to celebrate the holidays with covid-friendly activities.

On the bright side, at least there will be availability to the normal things that we enjoy about the holiday, though this year will be arranged to be safe.

There will still be classic Christmas goodies that won’t change, like old-classic Christmas movies, songs, and holiday recipes.

For families who love to go out Christmas tree-shopping tree farms are opening up their doors for the public, though they are limiting the amount of people who are allowed in.

These tree farms are following the protocols to keep everyone safe but it’s not for those who don’t have much patience.

For people that don’t want to go online to look for a Christmas tree or do the tree-shopping like usual, why not make a decorative tree with lights and ornaments and decorate them with glitter, pencils or crayons to create a tree on any type of paper.

Ainslie Stewart, a student from Loretto High School, said,“The best part of decorating a Christmas tree is sharing the memories of the ornaments that were made and reminiscing about the past year as well as the joys and challenges.”

Another fun thing to do during the holiday season is to see some Christmas lights by car.

Seeing the lights is one of the activities that can be safely done, since it consists of only driving past them and admiring.

David Stewart, a military, said, “Christmas lights are what makes the holiday special as well as magical, especially at night.”

Now, building a fort in your house is a great way for families to come together and enjoy a fun filled evening.

Building a fort can be fun, since it can be an escape from real life and a place where you can adventure anytime you want.

This holiday season has been very difficult, but people have found ways to keep their spirits up and enjoy the time that they spent with their families during this time of the year.
