Five Covid-19 Friendly Activities To Get You Out Of That Quarantine Funk

Quarantine has taken its toll on El Pasoans, considering the beauty and happiness that the sun city holds.

Many businesses and organizations are taking Covid-19 seriously while still operating for El Pasoans.

From riding horses to shopping outdoors, these are some activities that can get you out of the house while remaining safe and healthy.

El Paso Trail Rides, located in Anthony, New Mexico (just a few minutes outside of El Paso), provides many horse riding services,such as trail rides and riding lessons.

They are open seven days a week, and are an appointment only facility and have a rate of $35 an hour, excluding group rates and military discounts.

El Paso Trail Rides recommends face coverings and small groups.

The Franklin Mountains State Park, located 15 minutes away from El Paso, provides picnicking, camping, hiking, biking and rock climbing activities; not to mention amazing scenery and a fun gift shop.

The Tom Mays Unit gate is open daily from 8am to 5pm, with a rate of $5 for ages 13  and older.

The State Park recommends reservations and face coverings; forbids cash and checks as payment and non-family groups larger than ten. 

El Paso BCycle stations, located in Downtown and West El Paso, provide easy and environment friendly bike riding and sharing.

Their rates vary by the  ride length and membership status.

El Paso BCycle employees disinfect bikes throughout the day with alcohol and recommend hand washing and face coverings. 

El Paso Ghosts Tours have suspended their iconic downtown walk, however their basement lockdown of the De Soto Hotel in Downtown El Paso will continue.

The investigations are every Friday at 8:00 pm, with a general admission rate of $12 to $15.  

Investigations requires face coverings at all times and can only be reserved online because of their limited space. 

The El Paso Upper Valley Artists and Farmers Market provides El Pasoans with local food, products, art, and services.

The outdoor market is available the first two and the last two Sundays of the month.

The market now requires face coverings and has limited space for the practice of social distancing.
