Since the coronavirus struck the world, things have only been getting worse.

COVID-19 stands for “coronavirus disease 2019.”

The epicenter of coronavirus is in the city of Wuhan, China, and it quickly escalated to other countries; now, the United States is among the countries with more cases of coronavirus, according to USA Today.

Due to the outbreak, artists were obliged to cancel or postpone performances. 

Some others have changed their concert to live transmissions.

Major festivals and events such as Coachella, Stagecoach, and Ultra Music festival’s flagship Miami festival were rescheduled.

The following are some events canceled or postponed in the United States according to Billboard:

  • Ciara postponed her concert in Texas.
  • The SXSW festival in Austin, Texas was canceled completely.
  • Marc Anthony canceled his gala in New York City.
  • Niall Horan’s performance on the Helpful Honda SoundSpace show was canceled.
  • Cher postponed the remainder of her ABBA-inspired tour.
  • Michael Bublé postponed the rest of his shows.
  • Broadway shows are canceled until the crisis ends.
  • Billie Eilish’s tour dates have been moved forward. 
  • Taylor swift changed her tour dates in Atlanta.

Like these artists, many more have pushed back their performances in order to maintain the safety of the public and themselves.
