WNBA star Maya Moore will not be competing in this year’s upcoming season with the Minnesota Lynx.

Moore is one of the biggest stars in the WNBA, with awards such ad Performer of the Year back in 2017 and she Sports Illustrated called her the greatest winner in history of women’s basketball.

Maya Moore announced on The Players’ Tribune that she will not be playing this 2019 season, as she is taking time to focus on family and some of her ministry dreams that she has had for years.

Before Moore announced this, there was a scare she was trying to become a free-agent; but she was given the franchise tag, preventing her from that.

Her absence may be dangerous for the league itself because she is one of the league’s top players.

Eyes will be on the Lynx to see how they preform without the four-time champion and former MVP.
