February 14 is the day where love is in the air and heart shaped boxes are everywhere, February 14 is none other than Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day is mistakenly thought to be the day of couples when in reality it is a day where friends, family or partners can show  how much they truly care about each other.

However the norm still stands that couples are the ones who mostly celebrate.

This year in 2019 it is unfortunately celebrated on a Thursday and in the city of El Paso, Texas it is considered difficult to plan a certain date, but in really it is not hard at all!

Here are some ideas on what to do with significant others on this Cupid Day in the city of the 915:

  • A picnic of each other’s favorite foods
  • A trip to scenic drive in the night time to look at all of the city lights across the horizon
  • A movie night of classic rom-coms such as the new hit Crazy Rich Asians or the oldie but a goodie 10 Things I Hate About You featuring ice cream and chocolate
  • A trip to the movies to watch the new LEGO movie to have a good laugh
  • Go to your favorite spot, whether it be Cane’s or just somewhere in particular that only you two know about
  • Take a road trip to Las Cruces and have a photoshoot
  • Surprise each other with presents at their work, school, or home
  • Go to Mother of Pearl Vinyl to listen to records
  • Try something new that both of you have not tried before

There are multiple ideas that couples could do, but what really matters is the mutual love that couples share.

It does not matter where to go or what to give, all that matters is the feeling that both partners share, not just on Valentine’s Day, but every day.
