In Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, D.C., a sign reads “Sedition, When you’re white they let you do it (Black, not soooo much).” This comes after the riots led by Trump supporters were met with drastically different police forces than the BLM protests in the summer of 2020.

El Pasoans took to the streets this summer to show their support for the Black Lives Matter after the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. They protested at EPPD headquarters on 911 N Raynor Street.
