On August 30th, the sophomores had a day dedicated to different talks from guest speakers during the Big/Little Sister Picnic and junior retreat.

The talks highlighted the importance of relationships in one’s life as well as how to recognize an abusive or beneficial relationship.

Loretto Academy sophomore Hannah Dockens said, “During Sophomore Day, we had this talk about how we shouldn’t be in an unhealthy relationship.

It was really eye opening to me because it showed me how I and everyone should be treated and if I were to see any signs of an unhealthy relationship I should go to someone for help.”

The day served as a great learning opportunity for sophomores to learn how to look out for themselves and others if they are ever put in dangerous situations by strangers, friends, a significant other, and even family.
