Middle-school girls from several El Paso private Catholic schools had the opportunity to experience high school at Loretto.

Taste of Loretto is an annual event with the purpose of demonstrating what being a student at Loretto feels like and encourage them to attend Loretto in high school.

Chosen senior ambassadors received the upcoming freshmen and guided them throughout the day.

The upcoming freshmen started the day with a test from 8:00 to 10:20 a.m.

After this, they enjoyed a snack and got ready to take a tour.

Senior ambassadors gave them a tour of Loretto, explained what Loretto is like, and gave them advice on high school life.

Senior ambassadors then took the middle schoolers to visit a chosen class, so they could take a deeper look of what classes are like at Loretto.

During lunch, the middle school girls joined their senior ambassadors for a great lunch generously given to them by the cafeteria staff.

Throughout the meal, the girls had time to talk, bond, and ask all the questions they had about Loretto.

Senior Maria Emilia Sandoval said “It was very exciting to show the school around to the
8th graders and to see them excited to come next year.”

Taste of Loretto provided an effective way for middle schoolers to experience Loretto and hopefully encourage them to choose Loretto for their high school years.
