Hasta luego Prax!

Hasta luego Prax!

Isabel Garza, Class Sections Editor

Being the Class Sections Editor for the Prax has been the most rewarding experience of my high school career.

I navigated Loretto in depth by writing for its community and stepped out of my comfort zone by meeting new people.

This was always a wish of mine and the combination of all the adventures I got to live makes me happy I took the decision to join the newspaper class.

The Prax team has taken on the role of being a voice for students and that opened my world to all the things that go on at this amazing school.

I felt inspired by the people who belong to the Loretto community and interviewing them reignited my extroverted self that had been hiding for a little while.

My writing improved so much as I learned how to organize my thoughts and ideas as well as complement them with other people’s experiences and points of view.

My favorite piece to write was an article about The Nutcracker ballet because I got to include all my knowledge I have of the ballet.

I enjoyed watching the performance as if it were the first time and as a dancer, I appreciated the opportunity to write about the magic I felt.

And that was the thing about writing for The Prax;

As a student, I appreciated writing about fellow students and their activities.

As a proud Mexican, I appreciated writing about events going on in Juarez.

As a Hollywood celebrity enthusiast, I appreciated writing about award shows.

As a fashionista, I appreciated writing about celebrity’s fashion choices.

And it’s hard to say goodbye to The Prax, that is why I will simply say “Hasta Luego”.

A way that is better than saying goodbye, it shows I don’t wanna go and it means until later.
