On January 21, Loretto Academy opened up the school to incoming middle schoolers, high schoolers, and parents looking for more information on the school. .

The open house started at 9 A.M. and ended at 12 P.M. with opportunities for girls to have a tour around Loretto Academy, get a look at some clubs at Loretto, and listen to a presentation followed by questions.

Some clubs that were included were the National Art Honor Society, REINO, Pre-Vet Club, Pre-Med Club, Angels in Tech, Loretto Athletic Association, International Club, and Mundo World Welt.

The event started off with the tour, where parents were taken around the Loretto school grounds to get a feel of where their children would hopefully soon attend school.

Students were hand-picked to take parents around the school, including all floors of the main building, and then were led to the gym.

There, parents were introduced to some of the clubs available at Loretto and were free to ask any questions they liked to the leading officers of the club.

They additionally had the opportunity to participate in a question & answer session, where they were free to ask Loretto Academy staff any questions they had regarding how the school is structured.

Loretto senior, Camila Gallardo said, “Giving tours to parents at the open house was a heartwarming experience, it was not only an honor to show these parents what Loretto Academy is about, but it made me realize how much adoration and pride I have towards Loretto.

Every experience in this community has shaped me into who I am today, and how I will take lifelong lessons that Loretto Academy has taught me.”

Parents took a look at Loretto classrooms and other recreational spaces that could one day be occupied by their children, and being toured around by a current Loretto student made the experience more engaging and interactive.

Loretto President Nicole Cobb said, “I know that we have students here whose family members have attended Loretto, but I think opening doors up to new people is exciting because we are creating new chains and new connections that will continue to play a big role in the school and in the region.”

The fast-approaching celebration of Loretto’s hundredth year coincided with Ms. Nicole Cobb’s induction as Loretto’s President, and it is a great thing to look forward to in the upcoming year.

Cobb said, “I’m excited for celebrating our centennial this school year and the next because celebrating is always a fun thing to do.

I think it’s a great time to reflect on what has been done in the past hundred years, and what can be done in the next hundred years.”

The Loretto Open House event was a great opportunity for parents who are considering Loretto Academy, to not only see the inner workings of the school but allow them to interact with current Loretto students and have all of their questions answered.
