Loretto’s sophomore retreat occurred on Thursday, November 3, in the Loretto gym.

Some of the activities included painting pots and planting seeds in them.

This activity represented how as a community, we have to take care of the planet, and it is related to Laudato Si’, a key theme this school year.

Another activity included was “the World Game,” in which students had to gather in a circle and prevent the inflatable globe from hitting the ground.

This retreat was the sophomores’ second retreat.

Sophomore Abril Armendariz said, “Personally, I was very excited!”

I was excited about all the activities that the homeroom representatives and teachers had planned.

All of our participation was why the retreat was a success and why everyone had fun during the games.”

These retreats serve as a fun way for students to grow closer as a class and have some time off from school.
