Swim meet success

On Friday, October 22, the Loretto Angels swim team had their first swim meet at Memorial Swimming Pool located on 3251 Copper Avenue.

They swam alongside the Cathedral Irish and Coronado T-Birds swim teams.

During one of the swim relays when the Angels and T-Birds were swimming, the Angels came close to losing their lead.

Loretto junior Tenley Reha caught the lead and finished in first, with one of the T-Bird swimmers coming in second.

After the relay, Reha said, “I did bad, I added five seconds to my time.”

This first swim meet was not competitive because it was held to allow new swimmers to understand how everything works.

Even though the Angels lost many seniors when they graduated, the first swim meet went well.
