As spring break approaches, you get a relaxing, long week break from school with plenty of free time.

Exercising in your free time is probably not the first activity you have in mind but it is probably the most productive.

Instead of laying in bed, especially as the weather gets warmer it is a great way to take advantage and go out for a nice walk or run.

There are plenty of ways to stay active if you choose to stay in the comfort of your home or go out.

Exercising at your house is not a problem, all you need is a roomy area, a yoga mat, and an electronic device to watch workout videos.

Now-in-days, everything is on the internet, including thousands of fitness videos and ways to stay healthy.

“Summer is just around the corner and I want to stay in shape. I am a dancer and I train every day! During spring break I plan on going to the studio every day and improving my form and taking the time I need that I do have on school nights. Even though dance is my life, I try to not overwork myself and take a ‘me’ day. I like to jog around my neighborhood and maybe even do some yoga.” said Paula Cardenas.

Alexis Perez said, “I hate working out, I do not enjoy it one bit, I would rather stay in bed and watch Netflix, but after my laziness was brought to my attention by my parents I agreed that during spring break I would get a gym membership and work on myself.”

It may be difficult to motivate yourself to get up and workout but buying a new water bottle and customizing it or buying new workout clothes can get you excited to do so.

Whatever you decide to do during spring break make sure to take time to stay active because it will make you feel better about yourself and keep you productive!
