Loretto Academy has had the privilege of having Dr. Lydia Baca teach its angels science for 25 years.

Baca taught Biology, Human Biology, and many other science courses, and was the sponsor for the Pre-Med Club at Loretto.

Baca’s former students not only have amazing memories but an expanded knowledge of the STEM field because of her classes. 

Senior Clarissa Garcia who had Baca for three consecutive years said, “Dr. Baca had really opened the opportunity to pursue the field of medicine for not only me but for the students who had her as well. She opened up my eyes to its vast field and shared her medical experiences with everyone. She’s an amazing role model to look up to and is the reason as to why I’m aiming to achieve a degree in biology for my future.”

Dr. Baca will be missed and appreciated by the Loretto community forever.
