Golf season is coming to an end, and there is no better way to end it than by praising the athletes. 

Senior Sophia Chauvet has been nominated as athlete of the month! 

She’s been playing golf since she was six-years-old and started playing it competitively at 12-years-old. 

Loretto’s golf coach, Brianna Aguilar, said, “Not only is Sophia a very talented golfer, but she also shows leadership and dedication. 

“She is willing to help her teammates with questions about the games as well as training to be the best.” 

Chauvet said, “ I love going out on the golf course and seeing all of my improvements and how I can get better each day.” 

This year has been Chauvet’s first year at Loretto and one can only imagine how difficult that transition must have been. 

Chauvet said, “It has actually been easy to accommodate into Loretto because joining a team helped me make more friends and become part of something.”
