The time has come for juniors to begin applying to the annual RYLA camp.

The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is awarded to juniors in high school all over the United States.

The awarded juniors attend a leadership camp located in their designated district and are demonstrated leadership skills.

Loretto students applying for RYLA may want to follow these tips:

  • Be active in your community
  • Participate
  • Show leadership

Eight Loretto students, now seniors, attended the RYLA camp this past summer.

Emilia Mandujano, Danya Navarrete, Lauren Gil, Cassandra Villar, Eliane Castorena, Azalea Esquivel-Reyes, Sofia Cortez and Iliana Pinal were last year’s juniors to attend the camp.

Iliana Pinal said “It was a wonderful learning experience.”

“I feel like I became a better version of myself after camp.”

If you are applying expect to have a fun and educational experience.
