A night in the woods

“Wood you go to prom with me?”
That’s the question that everyone asked this week since Loretto Academy’s annual prom was on March 2, 2019!
The theme for this year’s prom was “A Night in the Woods” and was held at Epic Railyard 2201 East Mills Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79901.
The dance began at 8:00 PM and ended at 12:00 AM, where there were junior and senior chaperones.
The attire was formal, whereas the men wore dashing suit and ties and the young women wore beautiful and elegant long dresses.
The dance included a photo booth to captivate the memories made and a dance floor that joined everyone together.
The night did not end with the music or with dancing, however, as it also involved the crowning of prom princess and prom queen!
The winner for prom princess was none other than Loretto junior, Jaqueline Porras and the winner for prom queen was Loretto senior, Azalea Esquivel-Reyes!
Prom night is a tradition in which movies and high schools represent it to be one of the best nights of a teens life, but this was a real prom in which all Loretto juniors experienced for the first time and was a last hurrah for the seniors.
Loretto senior, Mariana Valverde, said, “I had fun with my friends, who I call my sisters and I could not have expected a better prom to end my senior year.”
