It was an intense game because the lead switched between the two teams several times.

The gym was packed with fans; fellow seniors cheered on their teammates

by waving around giant cardboard signs of the Loretto seniors.

Junior Anavictoria Acosta said, “It was very sad for seniors to play their last game because I remember how we used to play together in middle school as well.

the distance.”

The seniors that played their last game were Buddi Garcia, Cassandra Villar, Danni Garcia, Madelynne Sandoval, Nizi Narez Sofia Cortez, and Xzandra Fo.

Senior Buddi Garcia said “I’m so proud of my team and myself for becoming who we are today and will always remember these years of basketball with them.”

Although the seniors will bid farewell to the team and Loretto in May, their lasting impact on the team will last forever.
