On October 28th, 2018, the Boston Red Sox won the fourth world series championship in fifteen years.

During the game, the Red Sox had only one extra-base hit out of six innings.

It was a double, but they got a pitch-hit three-time home run thanks to Eduardo Nunez in the seventh inning that quickly ended the Dodger’s hope of any comeback.

The last two events of the game were the most striking.

During the Bottom 8th the Dodgers’ bullpen kept one clean as Alex Wood was back out to start the eight.

In the top 9th, Craig Kimbrel’s success was contemplated as he had struggled post season.

Yet Craig came through for Nathan Eovaldi to start the ninth and slammed the door on the Dodgers in game 1.

The attention all comes down to the facts that if the Boston Red Sox had lost is would have been only 7 games total.
