The 2025 Grammy Awards were on February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California and were streamed live on CBS Television and Paramount+.
The ceremony provided its audience with performances from artists such as Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter as well as iconic moments that will be forever remembered.
The show was hosted by Trevor Noah, a comedian and political commentator, who mentioned current political and environmental issues, such as the California fires and the recent enforcement of border policies, while keeping a humorous tone, as to avoid any controversy.

The Sunday of the Grammys was filled with appearances from singers and artists who showcased their talents for the night.
Sabrina Carpenter gave a show tunes style rendition of her songs, “Espresso,” and, “Please Please Please,” from her latest album, “Short n’ Sweet,” which was a huge success in 2024.
Chappel Roan also gave an outstanding showcase of her hit song, “Pink Pony Club.”
She received six nominations for Grammy Awards as an upcoming artist, gaining many of her fans and her growing popularity in the last year.
Other performers included Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, Charlie XCX, Cynthia Erivo, Doechii, Herbie, Hancock, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Stevie Wonder, and more.
Fans and spectators alike were very shocked at the surprise performance by The Weeknd after his apparent refusal to perform at the Grammys following the lack of nominations his album, “After Hours,” received.
Golden Trophies Make A Statement
Out of all the Grammy nominations this year, there was an even mix of familiar and unfamiliar names.
Beyoncé won Album of the Year after receiving countless nominations and snubs, for her album, “Cowboy Carter.”
The pop star has already been nominated for 99 Grammys in her career.
Kendrick Lamar outdid himself this past year, winning five Grammys for his rap performance of, “Not Like Us.”
Multiple artists used their wins to spread political and social awareness on the stage, such as Chappell Roan and Lady Gaga.
Chappell Roan made a speech after her Grammy acceptance for Best New Artist and said, “…I would demand that labels and the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer livable wage and healthcare, especially to developing artists…” when referring to her personal experience.
This night would define other award ceremonies that would take place this year such as the BAFTAs on February 16 and the Oscars on March 2, that featured similar a similar crowd and statements made by different celebrities.
