What’s your favorite Christmas Memory?

With Christmas break around the corner, the girls at Loretto Academy reminisce about their favorite Christmas memories.

Freshman: Liah Gutierrez

“My favorite Christmas memory was when I was about five, my uncle dressed up as Santa and surprised us.”

Sophomore: Nicole Meza

“My favorite Christmas memory was in 2019 because I was in the hospital waiting for my nephew to be born! God gave me the greatest gift and brought a blessing to my life on Christmas Day!”

Junior: Aurora Ramirez

“My favorite Christmas memory was when I was little I saw snow for the first time. My dad and I made a snowman and snow angels.”

Senior: Mia Martinez

“One of my favorite Christmas memories is watching Christmas movies with my mom and brother. Specifically, the movies The Holiday and Love. The feeling of warmth and happiness that I feel when I reminisce is unmatched, and it is a memory that I will always cherish.”

Hi! My name is Daniela Barraza and I am a senior at Loretto Academy. This is my first year working on The Prax and am beyond honored to have the role of Managing Editor and Loretto News Section Editor. At a young age, I developed a drive to use my voice to make a change in my surrounding community. Grateful for the opportunity, I will put my passion into my work and continue Loretto’s long-standing tradition of providing an outlet for student voices and promoting leadership. In my fourth year at Loretto Academy, I learned the importance of sisterhood and building deeper relationships and memories that will last a lifetime. Outside of writing, I enjoy baking, watching movies, and taking photographs. My future plans are to attend college at the University of Texas at San Antonio and graduate with a major in cybersecurity. With my experience and the support of my fellow officers, I am confident that we will have a successful year at The Prax alongside our mentor, Ms. Lockhart.
