Nothing says winter like the El Paso Winterfest, a tradition in the El Paso community since in 2015, the 2024 El Paso winter fest took place on November 28, 2024.
Winterfest is the lighting ceremony that takes place in the downtown San Jacinto Plaza, and the surrounding area are decorated in lights and other festive decorations, including a 55-ft Christmas tree.
This year the Loretto Academy Cheer team was able to represent Loretto Academy at the Winterfest parade, and celebrate alongside with the rest of the community the start of winter.
The captain of the cheer team Sofia Escobar said “ It was really fun and a great team bonding experience because we were there for 6 hours with the elementary cheer team, just having fun and being together.“
The beautiful scenery is perfect for pictures, and ideal for a simple stroll, where you can just admire the community and beauty of El Paso.
Additionally, Winterfest includes different winter-themed attractions with food, and music throughout the whole park.
The El Paso Winterfest is ranked as the second best holiday market in the country according to the USA Today’s 2024 10 Best Readers choice Awards.
