A new wave of modernization reached Loretto Academy this year with the inauguration of the elevator and the implementation of iPads for all students; here are some thoughts from students about these new additions:
Freshman: Camila Velez

“I think that the new elevator is going to help the people at the school that have injuries or the older teachers, so they don’t have to climb up all the stairs. The iPads have helped me because in some classes it has helped us have better learning techniques.”
Sophomore: Luciana Treviño

“I think that the elevator has helped the girls at the school that have problems climbing the stairs. The iPads make it easier for me because it’s better than writing, it’s less tiring and more fun.”
Junior: Karla Gallardo

“I think that it’s going to attract more people to the school, like families that want to see the school and bring people with disabilities. I think it’ll bring more students and help out those who get injured. The iPads have helped me to concentrate better when doing my work.”
Senior: Melina Hernandez

“I think that it won’t help all of us, but it will help people with disabilities or people who get hurt. Honestly, I like using my personal device more because I’m used to using a laptop, but I think it’s a good opportunity for incoming freshmen that didn’t have a device.”
