Moving to Loretto after 8 years at my old school, I was terrified of starting a new school full of new people, new teachers, and new and scary experiences coming up.
Eventually, Loretto became a place I no longer feared and later even a place I was comfortable in and liked.
Even with this new level of comfort at Loretto, I never had my “thing”.
I’m not in any sports and I’m in a handful of clubs but nothing very notable.
Senior year was when I found my niche at Loretto.
The Prax has been one of the best parts of my Loretto experience, although it proved to be very challenging and stressful at times, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I get to be in a classroom where I feel comfortable and heard, full of girls who I’ve grown closer to this year, and getting to write, which is one of my favorite things.
I want to say thank you to Mrs. Lockhart for always being there for us and being a safe place for me at Loretto.
Thank you to my fellow journalists, Marina, Angelica, Maria, Mia, Paulina, and Emily, I am so grateful to you girls for making me laugh and for working as hard as you did this year.
I couldn’t have done senior year without you.
Next year, I will be attending Emerson College to pursue screenwriting, and I will be a part of their school newspaper because I know that because of The Prax, I will be just fine.
I am certain that my time at The Prax will help me in college because I developed my time management, writing, and editing skills.
This year I also learned how to make friends with girls I had never really talked to before.
I owe a lot of my favorite school moments to The Prax and I will forever be grateful that I got the chance to write and make my mark on Loretto.
Thank you to everyone reading and goodbye for now.
