One lap for each year

Every year, Circle Drive is held for the seniors at the end of the school year, as it signifies closure and growth.

 

This year’s Circle Drive took place on May 22, 2024, and seniors made sure it was a memorable one. 

 

Before Circle Drive , seniors were given the chance to run around each of the floors of the school to say goodbye to the building. 

 

The tradition consists of the seniors doing four laps in their cars around the circle in front of the school; each lap is a representation of each of their years of high school. 

 

Seniors will dress up following a specific theme and will decorate their cars accordingly.

This tradition was filled with nostalgia as the seniors lapped around the school getting ready to say goodbye to Loretto, and laughter and excitement as the other classes got to see the seniors dressed up in their funny attire.

Hello, my name is Paulina Garcia, I'm a senior at Loretto, and this is my first year writing for The Prax.

I’m overjoyed to be working as a staff reporter for The Prax, as I hope to be able to talk and meet a variety of people with diverse points of view.

This is my third year at Loretto, and I’m grateful to have made some amazing friends along the way.

Whenever I’m not writing for the school paper, you can find me at your nearest Pilates class or buried in a book.

My future plans involve attending a university where I hope to study psychology.

I’m extremely grateful to be part of The Prax this year, and I’ll contribute to it so we can bring the most important news to every member at Loretto.
