It is hard to believe my time has finally come to say goodbye to the school that has raised me and helped me blossom.
Loretto Academy shaped me into the person I am today and this is going to be the hardest goodbye I have ever had to say.
Twelve years ago I started my first day at Loretto Academy.
I was so scared that I would make no friends and overall I was just scared of the big school in front of me.
My mom always told me to give Loretto time because I would soon fall in love with it just how she had.
Now as I am writing this goodbye, I realize that she was right.
I have fallen in love with Loretto and having to let go of it feels as if I am letting go of my home.
I will miss all of my teachers and classmates because they are my family.
I am so beyond grateful to my parents who have given me the opportunity to attend Loretto Academy.
Thank you to The Prax
My junior year was the first year I had written for The Prax.
I was the only junior in the class and it was extremely intimidating being surrounded by seniors.
Today I thank my past self for continuing to stay in class because I have learned so much about the world around me and about writing techniques.
I want to especially thank Ms. Lockhart for always believing in me and trusting me this year as the newspapers Co-Editor-in-Chief.
Ms. Lockhart has always supported me and this class is a class I will never forget.
As a Co-Editor-in-Chief for The Prax, it has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone.
I have also learned the importance of journalists because they give a voice to the voiceless and shed light on important issues.
It has been a huge honor writing for the Prax and I will continue implementing everything i have learned into my future career.
Although my Loretto years have come to an end, I will always remember my experiences here at Loretto Academy.
For future Prax writers, prepare to step outside of your comfort zone but know in the long run this is going to be the most beneficial class you will take here at Loretto Academy!
I am forever grateful for the opportunities and lessons I have learned from writing for The Prax.
