Loretto’s open house

On February 22, 2024, Loretto Academy hosted its open house, featuring its academic departments, student clubs and extracurriculars.

The open house was held in our school building, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm that Thursday evening.

The tour started in room 201, where Loretto’s President Ms. Cobb introduced our academic department’s teachers and staff.

Afterwards, girls from the Ambassadors Club guided our visitors through our school’s hallways, where our student clubs and extracurriculars were displayed.

Clubs such as Angels in Law, Angels in Stem, Model UN, Pre-Vet, Sacred Heart, and Climate Crew were presented.

Angels in Law Club president, Daniela Rodriguez said, “The Open House was a great opportunity for others to get to know more about the school.

I really enjoyed seeing people who were interested in joining, and asked a lot of questions.”

The Open House was a success in presenting all the unique programs offered at Loretto for all grade levels!

My name is Marina Cepeda, I am a senior at Loretto Academy, and I am the Sports Section Editor for The Prax.

Having the opportunity to work behind the scenes at The Prax will allow me to zone in on my writing and communication skills.

I have been a part of the Loretto Sisterhood since my sophomore year, and Loretto has become my second home.

I am an avid sports fan, I love to watch soccer games with my father, play tennis, go to the gym, and swim.

After graduating high school, I plan on using all my writing skills to acquire a marketing career.

I am excited about what the future holds for me, and I am looking forward to reporting on our teams’ games and events.
