Kicking Off the Season
2024 was a year for our soccer angels, initiating the tradition of going to in-state competitions.
Since the start of the season, the soccer team started to prepare for their tournaments.
Their vision came to life shortly after senior night when the team seniors were farewelled by their teammates.
The seniors at Loretto’s soccer team: Sophia Merjil, Alondra Gutierrez, Natalia Batista, Paulina Cavazos, Sofia Valverde, Martina Cantu, Valeria Sanchez, Rebecca Legarreta, Juliana Espinoza, Juliana Peraza, Camila Fernandez, Victoria Ramirez, and Daphney Gomez.
Each senior received their own gift box with surprises planned by the parents of their teammates.

The gift included a yellow Stanley cup, the team’s color, snacks, gift cards, and a makeup bag.
We thank each senior for their commitment and their dedication to the school’s team.
State Competitions
Soccer Angels traveled to Odessa, Texas for their state tournament on February 25-26, 2024.
The team that went all the way to states were: Sophia Merjil, Alondra Gutierrez, Grecia Moreno, Rebecca Orpinel, Juliana Carlos, Victoria Ramirez, Paulina Fernandez, Martina Cantu, Kaitlyn Navarro, Valeria Sanchez, Rebeca Legarreta, Renata Monarrez, Mia Urias, Paulina Lucero, Juliana Espinoza.
Loretto’s angels came back home with more experience and excitement to be part of in-state competition again.
