As every day passes, we get closer and closer to seeing Loretto’s Angels in the Wing Theatre Company perform Grease for their spring musical on April 18-20, 2024.
The drama club is hard at work during rehearsals from Monday through Thursday to bring their audience a great musical.
A quick look during their practices will show crew members and actors working with each other to make sure everything is going smoothly.
Head of the Theater Technology Department, Diana Maldonado said, “It’s honestly a dream, growing up Grease was more than just a movie to me; it was a cherished part of my childhood, influenced by my mother’s love for it.
When opportunity arose to consider it for our spring musical, I wasted no time in voicing my support.
It’s exciting and feels like the perfect finale to my journey with Loretto theater.”
As crew members are building sets and figuring out lighting, the actors are rehearsing their songs, dancing, and their parts in the musical.
Crew member, Valeria Lopez, said, “Working on a production as big as Grease has been exciting, pressuring, engaging, and fulfilling.
I enjoy the opportunity to present new designs and propositions that are key to creating a spectacular performance.
I am honored to have the opportunity to help bring to life all the amazing ideas that our team comes up with onto stage.”
Although things may seem chaotic with actors and crew working on very different things, everything finds its balance as the Loretto Academy drama club perfects its musical for opening night.
