Dance the night away

The epic railyard salon was transformed into a beautiful masquerade ball to celebrate Loretto Academy’s annual prom celebration, which took place on February 10, 2024.

Everyone wore their nicest attire to enjoy this special night and the photographers made sure to capture every moment.

Junior, Olivia Torres said: “I loved the theme of this year’s prom and how everything was decorated.

It really exceeded my expectations for my first prom and I’m so glad I got to experience it with my friends.”

Every aspect of prom was thoughtfully planned: from the decorated walls where all students were able to strike a pose, to the Chick-fil-A food and Crumbl Cookies provided for all guests.

Later in the night, the court was announced and the winners shared a dance with their respective guests.

Bella Candia was crowned prom queen, and Melania Martinez was crowned prom princess.

Melania Martinez, the junior prom princess, said: “Prom was so much fun, being part of the court was really a magical experience.”

The expectations for prom were really high and Ms. Franco’s organization and the execution of the event exceeded them; prom was an unforgettable night for everyone in attendance.

Hello, my name is Paulina Garcia, I'm a senior at Loretto, and this is my first year writing for The Prax.

I’m overjoyed to be working as a staff reporter for The Prax, as I hope to be able to talk and meet a variety of people with diverse points of view.

This is my third year at Loretto, and I’m grateful to have made some amazing friends along the way.

Whenever I’m not writing for the school paper, you can find me at your nearest Pilates class or buried in a book.

My future plans involve attending a university where I hope to study psychology.

I’m extremely grateful to be part of The Prax this year, and I’ll contribute to it so we can bring the most important news to every member at Loretto.
