The 81st annual Golden Globes Awards showed off this year honoring achievements in both American and international film and television.
Hosted by comedian Jo Koy, the ceremony was held in the iconic Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on January 7, 2024.
“Oppenheimer” scored eight nominations, the second most of any movie or TV show, winning Best Drama Motion Picture, Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, Screenplay of a Motion Picture, and Original Score.
“Oppenheimer” director Christopher Nolan, actors Robert Downey Jr. and Cillian Murphy and the film’s composer Ludwig Göransson also went home with Golden Globes.
The first-ever Golden Globe for best picture and box office performance went to “Barbie”.
A Golden Globe was also awarded to Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell for the song “What Was I Made For” from “Barbie”.
“Succession” won Best Television Series Drama, along with actors Kieran Culkin, Matthew Macfadyen, and actress Sarah Snook who received awards for Best Performance in a Television Series.
“Poor Things” won Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture and Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.
“The Bear” won Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, and Best Television Series.

According to Town&Country, Gladstone, who is the first Native actor to win in this category said, “This is a historic win but it doesn’t only belong to me.
This is for every every little Native kid out there who has a dream.”
Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, Paul Giamatti in “The Holdovers”.
Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture, Da’Vine Joy Randolph in “The Holdovers”.
Best Screenplay, Motion Picture, Justine Triet and Arthur Harari in “Anatomy of a Fall”.
Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Supporting Role, Elizabeth Debicki in “The Crown”.
