Get your masks on for Loretto’s 2024 “Masquerade ” theme Prom!

On Friday, January 19, the Loretto Prom Court was announced by our beloved high school principal, Ms. Tovar, during morning announcements.

Juniors and seniors got to nominate four juniors and four seniors during 8th period.

These are the eight angels that will make up the prom court on February 10:

The Senior Princesses for the 2023-2024 school year are Isabella Candia, Angelica Castorena, Roberta Inarritu, and Mia Montelongo.

The Junior Duchesses for the 2023-2024 school year are Lauren Domengeaux, Roberta Gonzalez, Melania Martinez, and Ana Munoz.

Loretto junior, Roberta Gonzales, said, “I didn’t expect to win, I never thought I would get nominated for such a thing!

I am very excited to be part of this year’s court.”

My name is Marina Cepeda, I am a senior at Loretto Academy, and I am the Sports Section Editor for The Prax.

Having the opportunity to work behind the scenes at The Prax will allow me to zone in on my writing and communication skills.

I have been a part of the Loretto Sisterhood since my sophomore year, and Loretto has become my second home.

I am an avid sports fan, I love to watch soccer games with my father, play tennis, go to the gym, and swim.

After graduating high school, I plan on using all my writing skills to acquire a marketing career.

I am excited about what the future holds for me, and I am looking forward to reporting on our teams’ games and events.
