Communities are defined by the things they love, one thing that El Paso is a fan of are concerts.
The Sun City, El Paso, Texas, receives many artists per year, and with them comes the different people from surrounding areas that come to visit.
Many of El Paso concerts are hosted at Utep’s Don Haskins Center, El Paso County Coliseum, or The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center.
The range is broad, including different genres, ages, capacity, and public in general.
Some of the biggest artists that have come to visit this year are Rauw Alejandro way back in April, Peso Pluma in August, Junior H more recently October, Cigarettes After Sex, Grupo Frontera, and Myke Towers.
The Brightside Music Festival happened in El Paso during Labor Day weekend at Ascarate Park.
The festival presented a diversity of genres, electronic, latin, hip hop and indie.
Our students love to attend these concerts, as Loretto sophomore Ava Munoz said ‘‘I will always cherish the memories I was able to make at Brightside, where I got to spend time with loved ones and watch so many incredible artists perform.’’
Concerts are a way to connect with people in your community, some people even enjoy going by themselves to these concerts so they can get to interact with people outside their community.
Sun City has much to offer to any performer, one of the outstanding ones is the public.
To all El Paso visitors, next time you visit make sure to treat yourself to one of the concerts!
