Teammates game: A tennis recap

Tennis isn’t a sport for everyone, but these Loretto girls sure know how to make a team.

At Loretto we define ourselves as a sisterhood, this trait is shown in our team work.

The tennis girls are happy to work with each other, as their Co Captain, Roberta Gonzales said ‘‘I couldn’t ask for a better relationship.

I love all the girls in the team, we have such an amazing bond. We always encourage each other to do better and be the best player we can be.’’

The team consists of two Co Captains, senior Emma Issac and junior Roberta Gonzales.

But a team can’t continue without a leader, luckily Loretto girls are leaders, as Gonzales said ‘‘Setting an example for the girls like always being on time for practice and the games, also having good sportsmanship, planning ahead how we are going to play, dress and beat the other team.’’

The tennis girls like to encourage themselves, as Co Captain Emma Issac said ‘‘Everyone is excited and positive always even when a teammate is losing they’re there to encourage and cheer.’’

The Prax wishes them the best luck for their spring season and continuous seasons.

Hello, my name is Emily Aguilar, I am a Senior at Loretto Academy, and this is my third and last year at Loretto.

During my years of high school, I discovered my passion for writing and reporting.

This is the first time I am reporting for a newspaper and it is an honor to be able to do it with a team of talented classmates through the school's newspaper, The Prax.

Apart from writing I love reading and I enjoy investigating.

What I want to take from this year is the experience and hopefully expand my writing and reporting skills.

My plans after high school are to move with my parents and start full-time working in their businesses so I can expand my experience.

After settling my position at their companies, I intend to go to college and hopefully study more than one career.

I am eager to begin writing for The Prax!
