A tale of mystery and deceit, can you find who the murderer is in this year’s fall play?

A Murder is Announced by Agatha Christie premiered on November 9, 2023 at 6:00 P.M.

After a mysterious murder takes place in the Blacklock residence, Miss Marple tries to solve the case.

This play features high school students from Loretto Academy and male actors from other schools.

Loretto junior, Clara Ramirez, who plays Letty Blacklock encourages students to go see the play the cast and crew have been working hard on.

Ramirez said, “It’s about a murder that is announced in the paper at Letty’s House. 

Everyone suspects that it’s going to just be like a little murder mystery party but things go wrong and an actual murder happens. 

More and more secrets are revealed as Detective Craddock tries to discover who the murder is.”

With tickets selling for $6, the Little Theatre welcomed an audience of people from all ages to cheer on these actors. 

A responsive crowd greeted these students on each day they performed.

Theater director, Mrs. Cortez, said, “The work put into managing, rehearsing, and getting everything set up is extremely difficult.

That work is paid back to us when we see the audience responding and enjoying the play.”

Maria Nava, theater president, believes the success of the play doesn’t only rely on the crowd but on the cooperation of everyone involved.

Nava said, “I have other wonderful associates who help me in everything I do.

This allows us to hold each other accountable for all the work that needs to be done.

Additionally, we work together never allowing any one of us to have an overwhelming workload.”

This “whodunit” left the audience on the edge of their seats the entire play, wishing their predictions would be correct.
