Thanks to the Loretto family, Loretto Academy reached its goal for donations on Giving Day!

April 27th was Loretto Academy’s Giving Day, and the goal was to raise $63,000.

When Loretto hit its goal, the donations were matched dollar for dollar.

At the end of the 24-hour donation window, Loretto had raised $67,748 plus the $63,000 match.

All proceeds earned from Giving Day will help students experience the magic of  Loretto by providing financial aid.

These donations benefit the Loretto fund, which also helps pay for any additional COVID-19 expense as Loretto strives to make the community as safe as possible.

In total, Loretto raised $130,748 with 525 donors.

The following Giving Day challenges were in place for current Loretto students:

Many donors dedicated their donations to Sister “Buffy” Boesen, who is retiring as Loretto’s President after 22 years.

Sister Buffy said, “I am so grateful for all of those of you who have recognized some peace of mind 22 years here.

I am grateful for the classes for their great enthusiasm and participation, and parents, and alums, thank you for your support.

Board members, thank you, you have been outstanding.”

Thank you to all students, parents, faculty, staff, and members of the Loretto community who donated.

May Loretto be Loretto forever!
