The NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision is the highest level of football in the United States.

After multiple postponed and canceled games, the season was still completed and came to an end on January 11, 2021.

Only four teams can make it to the playoffs and the teams for this season were the University of Notre Dame, The Ohio State University, the University of Alabama,  and Clemson University.

During the first round of games, Alabama beat Notre Dame 31-14 at the Rose Bowl and Ohio State beat Clemson 49-28 at the Sugar Bowl, both were held on January 1, 2021.

Ohio State and Alabama made it to the Championship game and played to determine a winner.

They played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Fans could attend the game at only 25% percent capacity.

It was a great game even though Ohio State could not keep up with Alabama’s offense.

Once the final whistle blew three times, Alabama had won the game 52-24.

The four teams had amazing seasons and worked hard through the struggles of Covid; however, only one became the new National Champions.
