One last time, goodbye Prax
May 17, 2020
The year has come to an end, and I couldn’t be more grateful for my time here at The Prax.
I still remember being a junior in Mrs. Lockhart’s English class discovering my love for writing.
I immediately knew I wanted to join journalism.
Soon later into my senior year I became co-editor-in-chief of The Prax.
Being co-editor-in-chief was a rollercoaster for me.
I felt obligated to get everything done perfectly, getting everyone stories on time, proofreading everything, and going live the day we planned.
Riding this rollercoaster was definitely worth it, and for quite a few reasons.
Working and contributing my time to The Prax has helped give me a glimpse of what my future will be like as a journalist.
The chance to be able to write and share my voice with others was amazing.
My favorite part was being able to write about my favorite artist, Harry Styles.
Although I wrote many other stories, this one helped show me I could write about something I’m passionate about and share it with others.
I was also given the amazing opportunity to work along side my amazing staff and mentor Mrs. Lockhart.
I would like to say thank you to my staff for working incredibly hard throughout the year and giving every story their all.
I would also like to thank Mrs. Lockhart for giving me this incredible opportunity and always seeing potential in me.
Her constant support throughout the year has helped me to keep going and push myself to be the best writer I can be.
Although my time has come to an end, I am thankful and excited to continue on to bigger experiences.
I will always hold The Prax close to my heart and everyone who helped made this experience special.
Good luck to next year’s Prax staff!
