On Thursday, February 13, Loretto’s beloved seniors skipped out on school and had a fun time during their absence, all while the rest of Loretto experienced a silence worth a thousand words.

While the sophomores were on retreat in the gym, freshmen and juniors were left walking through bare halls and eating in an almost-empty cafeteria.

Although the seniors were missed by their peers and teachers, they lived life to the fullest and went out to lunch, enjoying each other’s company and sealing their bond before they go off to college.

Senior Ditch Day is another tradition down in the class of 2020’s book before they leave Loretto and start a journey at their new colleges, learning new things and making new friends along the way.

February 13 marked one day closer for seniors walking across the stage with a cap and gown, with their high school diploma in hand.
